Screening Officer

Responsibilities

Youll play a vital part in keeping people property and information safe. That includes:

• Adhere to and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel
• Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches
• Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety. Notify superiors of any unsafe working conditions
• Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity Vigilance and Helpfulness whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority complying with relevant policies procedures and training as provided by the Company
• Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints

Were looking for someone who sees a different worldsomeone who values teamwork shows initiative and wants to grow. Ideally youll have:

• Proven experience in datacentre operations or equivalent security industry experience; or equivalent experience in forces/services
• The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
• Must have a valid driving licence
• Should be contactable days nights and weekends for short notice cover
• Good fitness levels
• Reliable and great team player
• Great customer service skills (white glove attitude)
• Strong communication skills in Englishboth written and spoken
