Whatwill this role achieve

  • Your main responsibility is to work as part of a team in the packing and feeding of biscuits. When required you will stand in as a Mixing Machine Operator.Mixing Machine Operators ensure the area issafethey followmixspecifications andwork well in a team.

  • The role requires a can do attitude and a commitment tomaintaininghigh production standards whilst working as part of a dynamic team.Mustwant to progress within your team as you will be trained to step into the permanent role when needed. Will move lines across the factory as and when.

Whatwill beyour key deliverables

  • Manually pack products within specifications (includesbending lifting stretching)

  • Visually check for foreign matter / hazards

  • Ensure quality of biscuits packed is within product specifications

  • Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.

  • Work to a high standard enabling plants to achieve planned output.

  • Report any problems to Supervisor

  • Maintain cleanliness and meet hygiene standards.

  • Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.

  • Provide aco-ordinatedlink with all production processes on the line.

Mixing Machine Operator responsibilities

  • Report any problems to the Team Manager/ATM

  • Tooperatealldoughmixersineach zone.

  • Make dough the correct way and ensuretheresenough during the shift.

  • Tooperate tothe correct procedures for machine operation safetyqualityand hygiene.

  • Take part in tiered meetings and have an active roleintheboardsas part of Supply ChainExcellence.

Bring your experience

Essential

  • Basic numerical and literacy knowledge

  • Manual dexterity

  • Basic communication skills

  • Basic problem recognition

  • Excellent team working skills

  • Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative

  • Positive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environment

Desirable

  • Previousexperience is desirable but not essential as we provide training.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work

  • Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets wastelevelsand line performance)

  • To achieve planned output withinspecification.

  • Tomaximiseplant efficiency and tominimiseTOS and waste.

  • Tomaximisethelabourutilisation.

  • Maintain cleanliness and meet hygiene standards at all times.

  • To develop line operatives in line with company best practice.

  • Provide a strong andco-ordinatedlink with all production processes on the line.

  • Support the Section Leaders in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.

What does the recruitment process consist of

Assessments Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 45 60minutes to complete.

Interview 45-60 minutecompetency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
