Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP)

Derby Hospital Permanent Nursing Permanent Full Time

Competitive salary available dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP) at our Derby Hospital youre registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience including HCPC registration. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. Youre a focused flexible and motivated team worker.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP) you will:

  • Prioritise patient safety taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.

  • Promote a safe working environment for patients visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures)

  • Support governance activity ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Healths Quality governance framework and national standards e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation fundamentals of care professional standards and evidence-based guidelines.

  • Provide and lead care management and delivery treating patients families friends and representatives with kindness dignity respect and compassion and support them to cope emotionally with their care treatment or condition.

  • Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.

  • Take charge of a theatre co-ordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.

Nuffield Health Derby Hospital

The Nuffield Health DerbyHospital is a modern purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds three operating theatres and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures theatre ultrasound MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds were about 3 miles from the city centre within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.
