Site Safety Supervisor
\nLocation: Birmingham, B35 7BT
\nRate: £24.67 per hour, CIS
\nDuration: 6 Months +
\nA leading construction and infrastructure contractor is currently seeking an experienced
Site Safety Supervisor to support the safe delivery of major construction and civil engineering projects based in Birmingham, B35 7BT.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong construction supervision background and safety knowledge to provide front-line safety leadership across site operations.
\nDuties of the Site Safety Supervisor include:
\n· Working closely with supervisors, foremen, works managers, and delivery teams
\n· Supporting daily briefings, task briefings, and POWRA processes
\n· Challenging unsafe behaviours and poor standards on site
\n· Supporting stop work decisions where controls are not in place
\n· Ensuring teams understand RAMS, permits, and emergency arrangements
\n· Identifying site risks and supporting safe delivery of works
\n· Coaching site teams on safe systems of work
\n· Maintaining records of observations and follow-up actions
\nRequirements of the Site Safety Supervisor include:
\n· NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent (preferred) OR IOSH in addition to strong health and safety experience
\n· Alternatively, NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction Site Supervision, Occupational Work Supervision, or similar
\n· CSCS Gold Supervisor Card, Black Manager Card, or equivalent
\n· Previous experience within construction, infrastructure, heavy civils, structures, tunnelling, or lifting operations
\n· Strong understanding of RAMS, permits, briefings, and point-of-work risk assessments
\n· Good communication, reporting, and IT skills
