Job description
A highly regarded independent school in Cambridge is seeking a Teacher of Sociology to join its successful Sixth Form and Social Sciences department from September 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position and would suit either an experienced Sociology Teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to teach academically motivated students within a supportive and well-resourced environment. The School This established independent school educates approximately 900 students aged 11–18 and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement, pastoral care, and university progression. A significant number of students progress to Russell Group institutions each year, with many securing places at Oxford, Cambridge, and other leading universities. The Role You will teach Sociology primarily at Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of contemporary social issues.
