Job description
Position: Year 4 Teacher Location: Crawley Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stage: Key Stage 2 (Year 4) Year 4 Teacher Role in a Primary School A welcoming and well-established primary school in Crawley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join its team from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive school that values creativity, pupil development, and high-quality teaching. The school is committed to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. About the Role You will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. The role includes planning and delivering lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and foundation subjects while supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will create a positive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and high expectations for learning and behaviour. You will work collaboratively with year group colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils. Key Responsibilities Teach a Year 4 class across the Key Stage 2 curriculum Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons Assess pupil progress and provide clear feedback Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents Contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activities Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement The School Environment This primary school in Crawley provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
