Position: Science Teacher Location: Leeds Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Science Teaching Role in an Outstanding School An outstanding school in Leeds is seeking to appoint a Science Teacher to join its highly successful department from September. This is a full-time role within a high-achieving and supportive school that values scientific enquiry, academic excellence, and inspirational teaching. Science is a highly regarded subject within the school, with students encouraged to develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and investigative skills through engaging practical and theoretical learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. About the Role You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that challenge students and develop strong scientific understanding. The role includes both classroom teaching and practical laboratory work, helping students build confidence in experimentation, data analysis, and scientific reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations, supporting students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and progression to further study. You will work collaboratively within a high-performing Science department committed to maintaining outstanding standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Maintain safe laboratory procedures and environments Contribute to STEM enrichment and departmental development The School Environment This outstanding school in Leeds provides a structured and academically ambitious environment where students are highly motivated and supported to achieve excellent outcomes.
