Job description
Liquid Personnel is recruiting Care Practitioner for its client at Cumbria to join our clients healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients across various settings, including care homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role involves supporting individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring Alzheimers, dementia, and older age. The successful applicant will possess relevant skills in patient care, medication administration, and behaviour management, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those under their supervision. You should: * Remain committed and passionate about delivering the highest standards of care to our Service Users and work with your team to do so. * Ensure that our service users are always shown dignity and respect. * Empower and encourage our service users to remain as independent as possible. Responsibilities * Follow the directions of the Branch Manager and/or coordinator in the care to be provided to each individual service user. * Assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and toileting. * Help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; help with the use of aids and personal equipment. * Care for service users who are dying. * Promote mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, and sharing activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations as indicated on the care plan. * Make and change beds; tidy rooms; do light cleaning and empty commodes. * Launder service user’s clothing. Set tables and trays; serve meals; feed service users who need help; prepare light meals and wash up. * Read and write reports; take part in staff and service users’ meetings and in training activities as directed. * Perform such other duties as may be reasonably required. Qualifications and Experience * Experience working as a healthcare assistant in a care setting (preferable). * Hold a full UK driving licence.
