Our portfolio includes everything from elegant courtyards to family-friendly spaces, wildlife gardens, roof terraces, and listed properties. Were growing and are looking to expand our talented network of freelance garden designers to help deliver exciting new projects. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Freelance Garden Designer to collaborate on residential garden projects of varying sizes and styles. This is a flexible, project-based role ideal for designers looking to work alongside an established brand while maintaining their own creative independence. Key Responsibilities: * Work closely with the Soil Sisters team to develop concept and detailed designs * Conduct site visits, surveys, and client meetings as needed * Produce mood boards, scaled plans, planting plans, and 3D visuals (as applicable) * Support with sourcing materials, planting lists, and contractor liaison * Maintain clear communication and timelines throughout each project * Represent the Soil Sisters brand professionally and collaboratively What We’re Looking For: * Degree or diploma in Garden Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field * Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in residential garden design * Based in London or the South East and able to travel to sites as needed * Excellent plant knowledge and understanding of UK climates and soils * Friendly, professional, organised and client-focused * Confident working independently and meeting deadlines What We Offer: * Flexible, project-based freelance work * Supportive collaboration with a growing garden design brand * Access to a broad client base and high-quality projects * Exposure via our website, social media, and marketing channels * Potential for long-term collaboration We look forward to growing our creative team and working together to shape beautiful outdoor spaces.
