SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN Primary School
Virginia Water
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Full-Time

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day?

A welcoming specialist SEN primary school in Virginia Water is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. Supporting children with Autism and communication and interaction needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Support pupils across the primary age range within a specialist SEN setting.

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for children with Autism (ASC) and communication and interaction needs.

  • Work alongside teachers and the wider SEN team to help pupils achieve their EHCP targets.

  • Assist with classroom activities, interventions and daily routines.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.

  • Help create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children in an SEN school or similar setting is essential.

  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism and communication needs is highly desirable.

  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
