Transport Planner
\n Transport Planner - Cambridge - £31,000 - £39,000 \n
\n
The Job:\n
\nOur client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Cambridge. This position would suit someone with transport planning experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and can manage multiple tasks throughout the day.\n

\n Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and organising daily delivery schedules\n
\n- Allocating vehicles and routes to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently\n
\n- Liaising with drivers regarding routes, schedules and any operational issues\n
\n- Arranging deliveries through external carriers and couriers when required\n
\n- Monitoring vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs\n
\n- Managing tachograph downloads and driver compliance records\n
\n- Carrying out driver licence checks and monitoring CPC requirements\n
\n- Working with warehouse staff to ensure deliveries are prepared on time\n
\n- Dealing with delivery queries and resolving issues when they arise\n
\n- Keeping accurate transport and compliance records\n
\n- Ensuring transport activities are carried out in line with current legislation\n

\n The Candidate\n
\n- Experience in transport planning, logistics or a similar role\n
\n- CPC and tachograph knowledge and experience\n
\n- A good understanding of drivers' hours regulations and transport compliance\n
\n- Strong organisational and communication skills\n
\n- Good IT and administration skills\n
\n- The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems as they arise\n
\n- A positive and proactive approach to work\n

\n All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.\n
