Job description

Year 3 Teacher – ECTs Welcome

📍 Location: L20 Area, Liverpool

📅 Start Date: September

Hours: Full Time


Role Overview:

Milk Education is delighted to be working with a warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in the L20 area of Liverpool, who are seeking a Year 3 Teacher to join their dedicated KS2 team.

This role is ECT-friendly and ideal for teachers at the start of their career or those looking to further develop their confidence within a supportive Key Stage 2 environment.

You will be supported by an experienced teaching team, strong leadership, and well-established planning systems, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.


Classroom & School Support:

  • Friendly, community-focused primary school
  • Experienced Teaching Assistant working closely alongside you
  • Additional SEN support available where required

  • Collaborative KS2 team with shared planning and resources
  • Positive and encouraging environment for ECT development


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive Year 3 classroom environment
  • Support pupils' progress across English, Maths, Science, and the wider curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including those with SEND
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO, and senior leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils


What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are very welcome to apply
  • A secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Lower KS2
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach to teaching
  • A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development
  • Confidence to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
