The Opportunity:

The Product Owner will work with the product(s) and project(s) that are assigned to you as part of your portfolio. You will be considered a “details” person. You will work with your assigned Product Manager to build products from existing ideas and promote new ideas based on your product experience and your contact with customers. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; ability to see a big picture vision and help drive to make that vision a reality.

You must enjoy spending time in the details of a product and to understand its problems and find innovative solutions. Most importantly, you must be able to lead a product backlog and plan and ensure their execution and success. You are the liaison between Product Management and Development.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, be highly detail-oriented and have a passion for learning about the products and determine how best to improve them.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize a product backlog that defines the strategic work to be completed that will be shared internally and drives the development work that will be done for the product.

  • Gather, define and write up the product and services requirements; getting input from customers, prospects, partners, sales, development, external market trends and competitors in defining a cohesive set of product requirements and features that are market-driven and can be feasibly delivered.

  • Produce Business Requirements Documents, Business Cases, Product Release Plans and other documents as required.

  • Promote high standards and innovation in product changes and new features.

  • Define the product release cadence with the Product Manager and ensure that releases are done properly, on time and on budget.

  • Be hands on in approach and help fill gaps as required for the product success.

  • Provide input on how resources should be allocated across product initiatives.

  • Proactively identify risks, concerns, issues, and intervene as required to ensure that product releases remain on track.

  • Proactively identify, intervene and mitigate significant product risks.

  • Provide release progress updates to Product Manager and/or stakeholders.

  • Responsible for helping onboard new staff and providing them initial knowledge of the product.

  • Work with all the teams related to the product that they are following VitalHub’s defined standards, best practices, and processes.

  • Answer product-related questions from the Sales, Business Development, Marketing and external Business Partner organizations.

  • Ensure that the professional services, sales, development and customer support have all the product information and understand product releases to ensure product success.

  • Ensure the product requirements are effectively communicated throughout the respected teams.

  • Build solid client relationships prioritizing client satisfaction. Be a client advocate.

  • Help with technical presentations and product demonstrations at customer briefings, industry conferences, and other public-speaking forums.

  • Ensure that all product team members are happy, productive, and valued team members.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or Business Analyst

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working across the full product development lifecycle and coordinating UAT phases with business users.

  • Experience of writing requirements documentation/stories

  • Experience of working closely with developers and business users in a highly collaborative environment

  • Experience of working in agile development teams

  • Experience of using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, confluence.

  • Experience in requirements management

  • Ability to learn product configurations and train internal stakeholders or customers

Nice to Haves:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent Teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Active listening skills and multi-tasking capability

  • Project Management experience or relevant qualifications

  • Technical product knowledge or domain expertise

  • Market research and competitive analysis skills

Our Interview Process:

  1. Initial screening call with the Talent Team

  2. Virtual Interview with the Product Manager – verbal and technical assessment
