Your Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting campus leaders, managing employee relations, and driving HR strategies that foster a high-performing and positive working culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to Principals and senior leadership teams, handling complex employee relations including grievances, disciplinary matters, absence management, and capability cases.

  • Oversee the entire HR lifecycle—recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff exits—ensuring compliance and consistency across your designated sites.

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives that align with organisational goals.

  • Provide regular on-site support across campuses, offering tailored advice, delivering training, and supporting local teams with face-to-face consultations.

  • Coach and empower managers to handle both formal and informal staff matters confidently and effectively.

  • Support structural reviews and organisational change programmes to drive workforce efficiency and engagement.

  • Operate with independence while collaborating with wider HR and leadership teams to deliver shared outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking a proactive, knowledgeable, and emotionally intelligent HR professional with a passion for people and process improvement.

Essential Criteria
  • Strong HR generalist experience, including hands-on management of complex casework.

  • Background in regulated or unionised environments.

  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law, safeguarding practices, GDPR, and HR best practices.

  • CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred).

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar HR business partnering or advisory role.

  • Outstanding communication, integrity, and relationship-building skills.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary package, commensurate with experience

  • Laptop and IT equipment provided for effective remote working

  • Free on-site parking and travel expense reimbursement

  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch when visiting campuses

  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays

  • Pension scheme and staff referral bonus

  • A supportive team culture focused on growth, development, and wellbeing

  • Access to modern facilities and forward-thinking workplace systems
