Head of Marketing – Private Luxury Events
Borough, South London (SE1 1EP) - Hybrid
Fixed‑Term Contract until 30 June 2027

Private Luxury Events: Expect the Extraordinary

Private Luxury Events delivers world‑class experiences to the luxury travel community through its event brands Amour, Private Luxury, TFest and Ultra. Our ethos has always been to put the human experience first. This mantra has powered some of the most respected events in the industry, inspiring thousands of luxury travel professionals around the world and at the heart of everything we do lies a passion for connecting people.

Part of Worldwide Events Group

Private Luxury Events sits within Worldwide Events Group, founded in 2004 and now a recognised leader in global MICE and luxury travel. Across our events, we bring people together and facilitate meaningful relationships, a philosophy we call H2H, human‑to‑human connection.

Innovation drives our evolution. We’re embracing AI to elevate personalisation, streamline event design, and create smarter, more intuitive experiences for our global communities.

Our Sister Brand: M&I

M&I brings together high‑calibre meeting planners and exhibitors from the hospitality industry through a series of standout events across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Our portfolio includes M&I Expo, M&I Flagship, M&I Healthcare, and M&I Luxe.

The Role

As Head of Marketing, PLE, you'll be part of one of the most exciting luxury event portfolios in the global travel industry.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you'll manage the marketing team and tactical planning for PLE whilst remaining closely involved in the day-to-day delivery of campaigns that inspire, engage and grow our global community.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced, talented and passionate marketer who loves bringing ideas to life. You'll nurture and motivate a small, talented team while collaborating closely with our design, content, commercial and event management teams to create standout campaigns, launch new event concepts and strengthen PLE's position within the luxury travel landscape.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially aware, loves events and brand building and comes full of ideas.
Success in this role will come from balancing creative thinking with operational excellence, building strong relationships, and creating marketing campaigns that inspire people to join the PLE community.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?
This role would suit someone with experience leading a small marketing team and ideally a prior Head of Marketing role on their CV who is looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-growing events business. The role is more about organisation, planning, and execution than it is about strategy, so we want someone happy to get stuck in with the team.

You'll thrive if you:

  • Love building brands and bringing creative ideas to life.
  • Enjoy being hands-on and getting involved in campaign development and execution.
  • Are naturally curious and always looking for new ideas, trends and opportunities.
  • Take ownership but enjoy collaborating with others.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and customers.
  • Are excited by brand trends, travel, hospitality, lifestyle and crafting exceptional experiences.

This is a fixed-term contract position (with the potential to become a permanent role) for an exceptionally creative, commercially minded, and experienced Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities

Marketing Planning

  • Translate commercial objectives and strategy into engaging marketing plans and campaigns that support business growth.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing / MD of PLE and commercial teams to align marketing activity with wider business priorities.
  • Develop annual marketing plans across the PLE portfolio, balancing long-term brand building with successful event delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, customer engagement and audience growth.
  • Support the successful launch and positioning of new event concepts and products.

Campaign Management

  • Drive and deliver integrated brand campaigns across email, social media, content, PR and partner channels.
  • Work closely with the design and content teams to ensure the PLE marketing team creates inspiring campaigns that engage luxury travel audiences.
  • Support our commercial teams to hit their revenue and yield targets with marketing campaigns that strengthen the perceived value of our event brands and sponsorship and partnership propositions.
  • Ensure every campaign effectively communicates the USPs and benefits of the relevant event, elevates our market position and engages our audience.
  • Use customer insight, analytics and AI tools to continually refine creative, messaging and campaign performance.
  • Implement effective reporting and tracking processes and ensure the team maintains regular reporting to key stakeholders on campaign plans and results.

Brand & Creative

  • Champion the PLE brand portfolio across every customer touchpoint, ensuring creativity, consistency and excellence in everything we produce.
  • Collaborate with our creative and content team to continually evolve and develop our brand storytelling for maximum impact
  • Encourage an AI-first approach to content creation, creative ideation and research.
  • Continue evolving the PLE brand as a leader within luxury travel, lifestyle and experience-led events.

Content, Community & Partnerships

  • Direct the marketing team to develop a content strategy that builds excitement around our brands, positions PLE as a thought leader and strengthens customer loyalty.
  • Ensure the team’s plans foster a year-round dialogue with our community, creating compelling content that maintains engagement between events.
  • Identify industry voices, media partners and brand or industry ambassadors that can strengthen PLE's reach and credibility.
  • Manage a PR strategy that positions PLE at the forefront of conversations within luxury travel.
  • Identify new opportunities for editorial partnerships and creative storytelling.

Industry Relationships

  • Support our commercial and leadership team’s relationships with key industry partners, destinations, tourism boards and collaborators – ensuring marketing support is effective and adds value to the partnerships.
  • Ensure the PLE brand is optimally represented at industry events and networking.

Team & Budget Management

  • Lead, mentor and motivate a small, high-performing marketing team.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative environment where curiosity and innovation thrive.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities to help your team succeed.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively and transparently, reporting to the MD of PLE.
  • Prioritise workload across a busy international events calendar while remaining actively involved in campaign delivery.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

  • Stay curious about emerging trends across luxury travel, hospitality, marketing and technology.
  • Encourage the intelligent use of AI tools, customer insight and research to improve campaigns and decision-making.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to strengthen PLE's market position.
  • Continually explore new ideas that keep PLE fresh, relevant and creatively ambitious.

Due to the nature of our work, you may occasionally be required to work outside standard hours to attend and support our events or meet key deadlines.

Requirements

You’ll thrive in this Head of Marketing role if you bring:

  • Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns within B2B events, travel, hospitality, luxury, lifestyle or related sectors.
  • Previous experience managing a small marketing team or function.
  • Strong brand marketing, campaign development and content strategy experience.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, customers and partners.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to translate business priorities into engaging marketing activity.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Curiosity about and ideally some experience using AI tools and a general enthusiasm for embracing new marketing techniques and ideas.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience within luxury travel, hospitality or events.
  • Experience launching new products or brands.
  • PR, influencer or media partnership experience.
  • Knowledge of community-building and brand advocacy programmes.

Benefits

We offer a thoughtful package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and work–life balance.

  • Salary bracket for this role: £55,000 up to £60,000 DOE.
  • 28 days holiday plus UK bank holidays, with additional days awarded for length of service.
  • A centrally located London office with a summer terrace within walking distance of the world‑famous Borough Market.
  • Regular employee social events supported by our Happiness & Culture team.
  • Monthly contribution towards Bupa private health insurance (post probation).
  • Employee Assistance Program offering confidential wellbeing support.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave to support growing families.
  • 4 pm Friday finish!
