Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingston Vets on a part-time basis. Kingston Veterinary Group is a long-established group of two practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset, operating across two locations that offer both Small Animal and Farm Animal care. We have a wonderful purpose‑built mixed practice premises located in Sherborne, complete with a dental suite, imaging suite, separate cat, dog and isolation facilities, laboratory room, farm procedure room and a large species‑split waiting room, along with a host of offices and a dedicated nurses office. We have a very strong and supportive team consisting of Clinical Directors, Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Reception and Administration teams, all led and supported by our Director of Practice. How You’ll Make a Difference As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. Working Pattern * 26 hours per week across 3 days * Working across both the Yeovil and Sherborne sites * Rotating shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pm * 1 in 4 Saturday mornings General Responsibilities * Assisting Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations * Responsibility for inpatient care * Monitoring anaesthetics * Assisting with patient admissions and discharges * Carrying out nurse consultations You Might Be a Great Fit If...
