A highly successful Mixed Secondary School in Reading is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Music Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Music department. The successful candidate will inspire teaching and learning by delivering engaging high-quality lessons covering a vast range of musical traditions music theory and composition. You will maintain a positive classroom environment organise rehearsals and ensure that music suites and practice spaces remain safe inspiring and fully equipped for active musicianship.
Responsibilities will include planning and delivering curriculum content conducting extra-curricular ensembles or choirs and supporting assessment procedures throughout the department. You will also play a key role in coordinating school concerts musical productions and departmental enrichment activities across the wider school community.
The role requires someone who is practical organised and deeply enthusiastic about Music education and performance. Strong instrumental or vocal skills creativity and the ability to manage multiple ensembles effectively are essential. The school is looking for someone proactive who can contribute positively to a collaborative and ambitious department.

Requirements * QTS / ECT status (or equivalent recognized teaching qualification)
Degree in Music or a related performing arts discipline
Strong practical vocal or instrumental skills
Knowledge of music curricula examination specifications and music technology
Creative and proactive approach to classroom management and extra-curricular concerts
