Are you an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher ready to inspire pupils during an important stage of their primary education? A welcoming primary school in Barnsley is looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, independence and a love of learning. You will support pupils as they develop academically and personally, using effective assessment and teaching strategies to help every child reach their potential. Working alongside a supportive staff team, you will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.
Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A passion for delivering high-quality primary education.
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
