An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedFire & Security professionalto join the training team as aFire & Security Tutor delivering industry-leading technical training to apprentices and engineers.
You will play a key role in developing the next generation ofFire Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) engineers delivering classroom and practical training aligned with theLevel 3 Fire Emergency & Security Systems apprenticeship standard.
Working within a specialist training environment you will help learners develop thetechnical knowledge practical skills and professional behavioursrequired to succeed in the fire and security industry.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging technical training sessions covering fire security and electronic systems.
Teach apprentices how to install commission maintain and fault-find fire and security systems.
Provide instruction on access control intruder alarms CCTV and fire detection systems.
Support apprentices in understanding electrical principles system design commissioning and compliance standards.
Assess learner progress through practical demonstrations coursework and assessments.
Provide mentoring and guidance to support learners technical development and career progression.
Maintain accurate training records and assessment documentation.
Work with internal stakeholders and employers to ensure apprentices achieve industry-recognised qualifications.
What Were Looking For
Strong background as a Fire & Security Engineer or Technical Specialist
Experience with installation commissioning servicing and maintenance of fire and security systems
Knowledge of CCTV Access Control Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarm systems
Ability to coach mentor and develop engineers or apprentices
Strong communication and presentation skills
Passion for developing new talent in the fire and security industry
