Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? Do you have experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and nurturing EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The school is a diverse larger than average two-form entry setting. It supports a high proportion of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities and serves a community with significant social and economic challenges.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with children who have identified special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
  • Provide tailored support to help children access the EYFS curriculum and engage with learning activities.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) or support strategies designed by teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), or therapists.
  • Encourage play-based learning, as play is central to EYFS, making sure children with SEND are included.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Experience working within EYFS
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • References covering the last 24 months

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive daily rates
    · Opportunity to work in a rewarding and impactful setting
    · Ongoing training and development opportunities
    · Supportive team and leadership
    · Potential for long-term and permanent positions

Apply Today:

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive school and make a real difference to children in the early stages of their education. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you!
