Location: Cambridge, UK

Team: Operations

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us:

Forefront RF is a fabless semiconductor company developing breakthrough RF technology that radically simplifies RF front-end architectures for mobile and connected devices. Our long-term vision is to empower anyone to treat global connectivity as a commodity, effortlessly adding it to any device. We lead through innovation, solving our customers’ toughest challenges, enabling them to stay ahead by pushing the boundaries of RF design.

Our Values:

Our values are the quiet nudge that help us to be our best in every interaction.

  • One team: We listen, share, and build solutions together. Collaboration is at the heart of how we work. We support one another, embrace challenges and fun, and celebrate collective success.
  • Innovation with intent: We operate at the forefront of technology, building innovative pathways to the future that meets real customer needs.
  • Solutions driven: We develop world leading manufacturable products that deliver effortless connectivity.
  • Customer focused: We act with integrity, hold ourselves accountable, and are guided by a deep commitment to deliver customer focused solutions.
  • Sustainable: We design for longevity and reuse - leveraging globally connected RF technology to extend product lifecycles and reduce waste.

Role Overview:

As we continue to scale towards commercial deployment, this new role is key in establishing robust and scalable quality processes as we transition from development into production.

You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Forefront RF’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring high standards of product quality across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and external manufacturing partners - including foundries, OSATs, and test providers, ensuring our products meet stringent performance, reliability, and customer quality requirements throughout development and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and semiconductor industry best practices.
  • Establish scalable quality and reliability processes supporting new product introduction (NPI), product qualification, manufacturing ramp, and production scale-up.
  • Lead product qualification, reliability testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigations, driving effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage quality relationships with external manufacturing partners, including foundries, OSATs, and test providers, supporting supplier qualification, audits, yield improvement, and production excursion management.
  • Monitor product, supplier, and reliability performance data, defining KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, operations, and external partners.
  • Support customer qualification and quality requirements, including issue investigation, resolution, and ongoing product quality improvement.

Requirements

About you:

You are excited by the opportunity to work with breakthrough RF technology and help scale a deep-tech semiconductor company from development into production.

Education & experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in quality engineering or quality management within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Experience working in fabless semiconductor environments and collaborating with external manufacturing partners, including foundries, OSATs, assembly and test providers.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, product qualification, reliability testing, and production quality management.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience supporting customer quality requirements, supplier quality management, and issue resolution.

People Skills:

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with a resilient attitude towards ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality output.

  • Flexible work hours and remote work options.
  • Private medical insurance
  • Life assurance x 4
