JOB DESCRIPTION

At Ecolab, we help make the world cleaner, safer and healthier.

Ecolab is a trusted partner at nearly three million customer locations in more than 170 countries and a global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions. We combine complete solutions, data‑driven insights and personalised service to help customers improve food safety, maintain safe environments, optimise water and energy use, and drive sustainable performance across food, healthcare, hospitality and industrial sectors.

If you are early in your career and looking to learn, grow and make a real impact, our Territory Manager in Training Programme could be the right next step.

About the Programme

This is a 12 month, structured development programme designed to prepare you for a future role as a Territory Manager. Starting from October 1st, 2026 you will be supported every step of the way through a combination of:

  • Classroom and virtual learning

  • On‑the‑job training and job shadowing

  • Coaching from experienced colleagues

  • Hands‑on experience with customers in real environments

From day one you’ll gain exposure to customer operations, learn how to diagnose challenges, and develop practical solutions that improve safety, hygiene and sustainability.

Our solutions support customers across industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage processing, power generation, energy, mining, data-centers and commercial facilities, from water intake through reuse and discharge.

What You Will Do:

After completing your training, you will take ownership of an established customer territory, becoming a trusted partner and technical advisor to your customers. You will provide expert guidance on water treatment, process optimisation and digital water management programs that help improve operational performance, protect critical assets and support safe, efficient and sustainable customer operations.

In this role you will:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with existing customers through regular service visits

  • Learn how customers’ systems work, gaining hands-on experience with equipment, technologies and solutions used in their daily operations

  • Support the installation, maintenance and safe use of equipment, helping customers keep their facilities fully operational

  • Train and support customer teams, making sure they feel confident using Ecolab solutions

  • Gradually develop the ability to spot improvement opportunities, deliver technical demonstrations and support the growth of your assigned territory

  • Work closely with colleagues across different teams (Sales, Marketing Services, Customer Service) to deliver the best possible customer experience

  • Contribute to Ecolab’s growth by supporting outreach activities and helping build our brand in your local market

What you’ll need?

We are interested in meeting individuals with diverse backgrounds. You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have completed technical / scientific education (Ideally in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry)

  • Are interested in building a career in technical, sales or service-related roles

  • Are eager to learn, open to feedback and motivated to continuously develop new skills

  • Have demonstrated problem solving skills and creative thinking

  • Are comfortable adapting to new situations and challenges

  • Have basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Hold a valid driver’s license, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and are open to traveling within your assigned district and occasionally nationwide

No Immigration Sponsorship available

What’s in it For You:

  • A starting salary of £31,000 per annum

  • A 12month fixed-term contract, that may lead to a permanent position, depending on business needs

  • A robust, structured training programme, that includes job shadowing, e-learning modules, structured field activities, and customized classroom style training, with clear development milestones

  • A supportive environment where coaching and feedback are part of everyday work, allowing you to learn from subject matter experts with proven success

  • The opportunity to carve out a long term, advanced career path in sales, within a business that recognises the talent to progress

  • 25 days holiday plus 8 days Bank Holiday

  • 4% Flexible Benefits Allowance. A wide range of benefits (extended to families) or to be used as salary increase

  • Pension with 7% Employer Contribution and 4 x annual salary Life Insurance benefits

  • Receive a company vehicle for business and personal use

  • Income growth opportunities as you progress and develop in the role
