Job description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring musician to step into a pivotal middle-leadership role this September. We are recruiting a temporary Head of Music for a highly successful mixed secondary academy in Enfield to cover a one-year maternity leave. Main Responsibilities * Provide strategic leadership for the Music department across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level). Manage, mentor, and support a small, dedicated team of subject specialists. Oversee and expand the academy's extensive extracurricular timetable, including ensembles, choirs, and community performances. Maintain high standards of academic tracking, resource management, and curriculum innovation. The Setting You will be stepping into a uniquely successful school environment characterized by high expectations and a mutually supportive staff body. Requirements * Essential: Must hold QTS and have direct experience delivering the UK secondary music curriculum. Essential: Full, legal right to work in the UK without restriction.
