Job description
An excellent and well-regarded secondary school in Gloucester is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its successful Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school known for strong leadership, positive behaviour, and consistently good academic outcomes. The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2026. The Science department is well resourced and collaborative, with a clear focus on high-quality teaching and strong pupil progress. The Role Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons Supporting practical Science lessons with a strong focus on safety and understanding Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development Working collaboratively within a supportive Science team The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in a Science-related subject Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach School Information This secondary school in Gloucester is recognised for its excellent standards, supportive leadership, and positive learning environment.
