The Headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of schools seeks to appoint a Sports Graduate Assistant to work as part of the whole School Sports department, Junior School pastoral team and fully immersed in sporting co-curricular activities. The postholder will support classes and lead sports teams that are suitable to their personal skills. In addition to practical work, the role will also include some administrative duties.
Eltham College is a highly successful independent day school in south-east London, educating boys and girls aged 7 to 18 across both Junior and Senior Schools. The College has grown considerably over recent years: there are now over students in the Senior School and around pupils in the Junior School and places are heavily oversubscribed. Since , girls have been able to join Years 3 and 7, mirroring the Sixth Form which has been coeducational for over 45 years. The school places an equal emphasis on academic, pastoral and co-curricular excellence and has an outstanding reputation in all three areas as well as for the friendly, unpretentious nature of daily life.

We take sport seriously; not simply because we produce some of the highest performing school teams and players in the region but also because sport gives all our students vital physical and mental skills, on and off the pitch. We have over 70 acres of grounds that cater for all our core and co-curricular sports.
Participation in co-curricular sport is positively encouraged at all levels and there are an extensive number of practices and clubs that take place at before school, lunchtime and after school that the students can take part in, supporting the weekend fixture programme. We boast a strong fixture list in all major sports, competing against nationally renowned schools. Our priority is to help every student find the sport they love, so we give them the chance to try everything and we celebrate very success.
