Job description
We are growing at Geely Auto UK! We are looking for a Technical Quality Specialist to report into the Technical Quality Manager within the Aftersales team at Geely Auto UK Head office. The Technical Quality Specialist is tasked with ensuring the highest technical quality standards by providing expert support, managing quality issues, and monitoring performance standards to optimise technical operations across the Dealer network. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Technical support & problem resolution: · Provide expert technical support to Dealers, resolving complex technical issues efficiently. You’ll take full ownership of each case, providing confident guidance with a customer‑first mindset while meeting our standards for response quality and timeliness. · As part of Geely’s Technical team, you will be the expert our Dealer Network relies on to deliver fast, accurate and customer‑focused technical solutions. Using our approved systems (GDMS & GLDS), you will diagnose concerns remotely or directly on‑site, ensuring every enquiry receives a clear, high‑quality resolution. · Working proactively, you will drive technical case closure through remote support or hands‑on repair coaching, collaborating closely with our Customer Service Centre, manufacturing partners and both technical and non‑technical training teams. · Your expertise ensures our customers experience the highest levels of satisfaction and trust in the Geely brand. Documentation & knowledge sharing: · Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including the publication of typical case studies to aid in problem-solving and knowledge transfer. Quality management & improvement: · Collect and provide feedback on major quality issues, collaborating with headquarters R&D to investigate root causes and implement effective solutions. Standardisation & performance review: · Monitor technical standards and KPIs, review Dealers’ technical management practices, and encourage process optimisation and onsite management improvements to enhance quality and efficiency. In this role, you will also play an important part in shaping continuous improvement. You will help refine our processes, tools and best practices so our Dealers can make the right technical decisions quickly, efficiently and consistently powered by technology, data and Geely innovation. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Direct report to: Technical Quality Manager. Internal Stakeholders: Aftersales Director, Aftersales Team, Dealer Network Development, Marketing, functional departments and Geely HQ China. External Stakeholders: Dealers and Insurance agencies. KEY CHALLENGES · Maintaining up-to-date technical expertise and industry knowledge. · Creating, monitoring and editing complex technical information for easy Dealer access. · Aligning quality improvements with Geely R&D and Dealer operations. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Essential: · Master Technician level required as a minimum. · Extensive experience in vehicle system diagnosis with a strong background across all major repair areas. Desirable: · Advanced digital competence and strong analytical skills, enabling confident support of remote diagnostics and technical troubleshooting. · Clear and effective communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts into simple, actionable information for all audiences. · An initiative-taking, self‑driven individual with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and consistently deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. · Prevention‑focused mindset, able to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment. · Full UK driving licence.
