A growing and people-focused engineering and manufacturing business in Bridlington is looking to appoint an HR Learning and Development Specialist to join its team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about people development and is looking to build a long-term career within Learning & Development, whilst still bringing broader HR understanding into the role. This could suit someone already working within L&D, or equally an HR Generalist / HR Coordinator who has strong people development exposure and is now looking to specialise further within Learning & Development.
Working closely with the Head of HR and wider leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping learning and development initiatives across the organisation, supporting everything from onboarding and apprenticeships through to leadership development, early careers, and wider people capability projects.
This is a visible, hands-on role within a fast-paced operational environment, so it needs someone who can quickly build credibility, form strong relationships across the business, positively challenge managers where needed, and bring energy, initiative, and a practical approach.
Some of the HR Learning and Development Specialist responsibilities include:
\n- Supporting the delivery of the wider people development and L&D strategy across the business
\n- Coordinating and facilitating learning programmes including onboarding, leadership, and professional development initiatives
\n- Leading and developing apprenticeship and early careers programmes across multiple business areas
\n- Building relationships with schools, colleges, and external organisations to strengthen future talent pipelines
\n- Supporting leadership development initiatives and internal people programmes
\n- Creating and implementing career pathway frameworks and development content
\n- Coordinating internal and external training activity, ensuring effective use of budgets and resources
\n- Monitoring training compliance, reporting, and development activity across the business
\n- Supporting managers with practical learning and development solutions, coaching, and capability building
\n- Supporting the wider HR team with people-focused initiatives where needed
\n
This role would suit someone who:
\n- Has experience within HR, Learning & Development, or people-focused project work
\n- Is genuinely passionate about Learning & Development and wants to build longevity in this space
\n- Can build rapport and credibility quickly with people at all levels across the business
\n- Has the confidence to positively challenge and influence managers where needed
\n- Is proactive, self-motivated, and has a real get-up-and-go attitude
\n- Enjoys being hands-on, visible, and working within fast-paced operational environments
\n- Is organised, practical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
\n- Ideally has experience within manufacturing, engineering, or other operationally led businesses
