We are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit an experienced Solicitor into their expanding Disease Litigation team based in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading insurance litigation practice with a strong national reputation, handling a varied and complex caseload of defender disease claims on behalf of both insurer and uninsured clients.
The Role
You will manage a broad range of pre-litigated and litigated disease matters, supporting clients through often sensitive and technically complex claims.
The role will involve forensic review and analysis of documentation, assessing liability, causation and quantum, drafting court documents and legal correspondence, preparing witness statements and instructing experts and Counsel where required.
You will also work closely with senior members of the team on litigation strategy, client advice and complex claims handling, while contributing to wider business development initiatives including articles, presentations and networking activity.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to appear within the Sheriff Court and act as instructing agent within the Court of Session, making this an excellent role for someone looking to continue developing their advocacy and litigation expertise within a specialist area.
About You
The firm is keen to hear from Solicitors with litigation experience, ideally with exposure to personal injury, disease litigation, insurance litigation or other complex and sensitive claims environments.
You will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical and organisational skills, capable of managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Experience appearing in the Sheriff Court and supporting matters within the Court of Session would be highly advantageous, alongside any exposure to complex claims handling.
The successful candidate will be collaborative, commercially aware and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider specialist team.
