We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support children and young people in developing positive behaviours and social skills. This role involves working closely with individuals to foster growth, confidence, and independence within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in youth development and possess strong mentoring abilities. • Support the pupil in developing social and emotional skills, resilience, and independence.
  • Assist with delivering tailored learning activities under the direction of the class or provision lead (Primary or Secondary).
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and daily engagement.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.
  • Provide pastoral care, helping the pupil regulate emotions and make positive choices.
  • Supervise the pupil(s) during breaks, transitions, and including any adventure, sporting or extra-curricular activities.
  • Safeguard effectively reporting all concerns appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Support the transportation of pupils to and from school when directed.
  • To build a working relationship with the Wellbeing, Behaviour and Learning Coach as well as the relevant Secondary or Primary Lead
  • To undertake specific training required to undertake the role
  • To undertake any other activity commensurate with the role at the direction of the Head of Pastoral and Safeguarding
