The at the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) is pleased to invite expressions of interest from researchers, who may wish to apply for a Daphne Jackson Trust Fellowship, which we intend to support and host, subject to funding.
About the fellowship
The offers fellowships specifically designed to help researchers return to their careers after a break, combining a personalised retraining programme with a high-quality research project hosted at an organisation such as the RCPsych. Any fellowship would be subject to the Daphne Jackson Trust’s application, review and funding processes, and therefore this is not a confirmed opportunity at this stage.
We invite expressions of interest from individuals wishing to return to research and welcome applicants with research interests across the full spectrum of mental health. We are particularly keen to support those focused on:
We will work closely with a suitable candidate to co-develop and refine a high-quality research proposal for submission to the Daphne Jackson Trust, based on their own topic of interest and aligned to the College priorities. We will provide guidance, supervisory input and feedback throughout the proposal development process, working closely with Professor Dasha Nicholls, Clinical Director for National Audits and Research in the CCQI.
This opportunity is aimed specifically at researchers returning to work after at least a two-year break taken for family, caring or health reasons. The CCQI is committed to provide a supportive research environment and experienced supervision to help you re-establish your research career.
