Lead Practitioner of Computer Science | Hillingdon | September 2026 Position: Lead Practitioner of Computer Science Location: London Borough of Hillingdon Salary: Competitive (Lead Practitioner Pay Scale) Start Date: September 2026 Are you an expert educator with a track record of driving academic excellence in Computing? We are currently representing a high-performing school in Hillingdon seeking a visionary Lead Practitioner of Computer Science to spearhead the development of teaching and learning within their digital technologies faculty. This school is committed to staying at the forefront of the modern curriculum, viewing Computer Science as a vital pillar of student success. As a Lead Practitioner, you will not only teach high-level content but also mentor staff and shape the pedagogical approach to Computing across the entire school. Why join this School? Stay abreast of industry trends (AI, Cyber Security, Programming) to ensure the curriculum remains cutting-edge and industry-relevant. Requirements Proven experience as an outstanding teacher of Computer Science with a demonstrable impact on student outcomes. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Expertise in programming languages (such as Python, Java, or C++) and a deep understanding of computer systems and algorithms. The ability to inspire both students and staff, fostering a culture of high expectations and digital literacy. Strong leadership qualities and the communication skills necessary to lead a high-functioning team.
