Job description
A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to join its successful Science department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Science Technician to support practical science teaching within a collaborative and well-resourced environment. The successful Science Technician will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of laboratory activities and supporting high-quality science lessons across the department. Science Technician required – ASAP start Supportive secondary school in Birmingham Key role within a well-equipped Science department Full-time, term-time (plus additional days may be required) The Role The school is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Science Technician who can support the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons. Key responsibilities of the Science Technician include: Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for Science practical lessons Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it is safe and in good working order Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions where required Managing stock levels and ordering resources Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures in laboratory settings Keeping labs clean, organised, and well maintained The School This supportive secondary school in Birmingham is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to both staff and student success.
