Job description
We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. Working as part of the Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) business, we are looking for a Junior Account Manager to play a leading role in our growing team.

At IIG, there's no such thing as a typical solution - we're looking for talent that can keep up with our clients' challenges and set the pace for new ideation. We value intelligence and fast learners, flexibility, and excitement about tackling every new opportunity. Our work is highly collaborative, so friendly relationship builders are vital to our teams.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Business Growth Manager, you will be given the support and training to take responsibility for building and growing key customer relationships across UK Government & Industry partners. Supported by more experienced Account Managers, you will work closely with our long-standing customers, ensuring projects are delivered to high levels of satisfaction and maintaining CACI IIG's position as their partner of choice. Working closely with the Business Growth Manager, you will also develop new business within the current customer base.

Typical responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the development of the sales pipeline and strategies for key growth areas and programmes, aligned with the overall CACI IIG strategy, and reporting progress to the CNI Stream Director and wider Commercial Team.
  • Working closely with the Account Leads and Business Development to support the existing Sales Pipeline and Accounts and identifying future opportunities to grow within these.
  • Managing and triaging the opportunities coming through a wide range of frameworks and procurement sources (relating primarily to Crown Commercial, Utilities, National Security and Defence, Transport and Health-related sectors), and share with the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain and update data in the CRM systems (Bigin/Netsuite) to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions
  • Identifying opportunities aligned to key revenue and profitability targets.
  • Supporting the generation of profitable CNI sales, including upselling and cross-selling, identifying opportunities to grow business with existing clients, new clients and strategic partners.
  • Working with the Technical Leadership Team to support the development of propositions to take to market, in line with our offerings, that reflect a deep understanding of the domain and client needs.

Role Location:

CACI works in a hybrid way, from one of our offices across the UK or from home, you decide. For this opportunity, you will be required to make regular visits to our Bristol & Plymouth office, plus visits to customers as required.

The Fit:

We are seeking a proactive, driven individual, degree qualified with a genuine passion for building a career in Account Management. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding service and client satisfaction. A keen interest in the IT and Digital space, particularly areas such as Architecture, Cloud, and Application Development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team, with full training and mentorship provided. Our structured development path is designed to support your growth into an Account Manager role within 18 to 24 months.

Whether you are a recent graduate ready to launch your career or someone with relevant experience seeking to transition into a thriving software consultancy environment, we'd love to hear from you.

You will have:
  • Confidence to engage with high-level stakeholders - both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks/requirements and action these with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter, able to show pro-activity with drive and ambition.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.

Why work for us?
