Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in Sutton Coldfield who are looking to appoint a full-time Drama Teacher from September.

This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school are looking for a qualified Drama Teacher who can deliver engaging, practical and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.

\n

QTS is required for this role.

\n

This role would suit someone who enjoys helping students build confidence, creativity and communication skills, while maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment.

What you'll be doing:

\n

\n
• Delivering engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
\n
• Supporting students with performance, confidence and communication skills
\n
• Teaching script work, devising, characterisation and written evaluation
\n
• Planning creative, structured and purposeful lessons
\n
• Encouraging participation in practical and performance-based activities
\n
• Preparing students for assessments and practical performance work
\n
• Managing behaviour during both practical and classroom-based lessons
\n
• Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
\n
• Working with the department to support curriculum delivery
\n

The school are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
\n
• Experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting
\n
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
\n
• Confidence leading practical and performance-based lessons
\n
• Good classroom management and behaviour strategies
\n
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students
\n
• Strong communication and organisation skills
\n
• A creative, reliable and professional approach
\n
• Passion for supporting student confidence, progress and attainment
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
\n
