Job description

Position: Drama Teacher Location: Wolverhampton Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Drama Teaching Role in a Secondary School A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Drama Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that values creativity, performance, and strong academic outcomes in the arts. Drama is a well-supported subject within the curriculum, with students encouraged to develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and creativity through performance-based learning. About the Role You will teach Drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that include performance skills, script work, devising theatre, and theatre history. Students will develop confidence in acting, stagecraft, and analysis of dramatic texts while working both individually and collaboratively. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations, supporting practical performance assessment and written evaluation. You will work collaboratively within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and student engagement. Key Responsibilities Teach Drama across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver practical and theory-based Drama lessons Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations Direct and support student performances and productions Assess student work and provide detailed feedback Contribute to school productions, clubs, and enrichment activities Support development of performance and communication skills Maintain high standards of classroom practice and behaviour The School Environment This secondary school in Wolverhampton provides a structured and supportive environment with a strong emphasis on creativity, achievement, and student development.
