Job description
Position: Maths Teacher Location: Nottingham Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Mathematics Teaching Role in a Faith Secondary School A faith secondary school in Nottingham is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that combines strong academic expectations with a supportive and values-led environment. Mathematics is a core subject within the curriculum, with students encouraged to develop confidence in reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking across all key stages. About the Role You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that cover number, algebra, geometry, statistics, mechanics, and mathematical reasoning. Students will be prepared for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations through structured teaching, targeted intervention, and regular assessment. You will support learners across a range of abilities, helping them develop resilience and confidence within a positive classroom environment. You will work collaboratively within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and student progress. Key Responsibilities Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver lessons covering core and advanced mathematical concepts Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations Assess student work and provide structured feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Support intervention, revision, and enrichment activities Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons The School Environment This faith secondary school in Nottingham provides a structured and supportive environment with high expectations for teaching, learning, and student conduct.
