We are seeking a forward-thinking Occupational Therapist who can bring energy, innovation, and compassion to our specialist eating disorder service for adolescents and young adults. You will work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, client-centred care.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy Registration to practice in the UK Evidence of post registration training relevant to mental health practice Training in the theory and application of the model of human occupation within the first 4 months of appointment
Desirable criteria
Full and current driving licence

Experience of carrying a caseload in a mental health setting Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team Experience of working in a range of mental health settings Experience of supervising junior staffExperience of maintaining a written record of continual professional development Experience of individual and groupwork Successful completion of preceptorship Experience of writing specialist occupational therapy reports Experience of participating in a service development project

Ellern Mede Ridgeway is a 26‑bed hospital providing inpatient treatment for children and young people aged 8–18 years with complex health needs including disordered eating and Eating Disorders.
The team has a long‑established record of helping children and young people achieve meaningful recovery outcomes. Over the past 21 years, the service has brought hope and progress to hundreds of patients and their families.
