Full Time, Fixed Term for 12 months

We have an exciting opportunity for a12 Month Fixed Term Transformation and Commissioning Category Lead for Children's Social Care, to drive strategic commissioning across services for children in care and care leavers.

This is a high-impact role where you will shape services that support some of the city's most vulnerable children and young people, ensuring they are safe, supported, and able to thrive.

As the Category Lead you will drive transformational programmes and high-risk projects, ensuring sustainable service improvements and overseeing complex service areas and ensuring services meet local needs and national priorities.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that Bristol's commissioning approach delivers high-quality services that improve outcomes for children and families across the city.

We're looking for a confident and collaborative leader who brings proven experience leading commissioning and transformation projects, delivering measurable service improvements.

You will have experience managing and developing staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
