Job description
Our client is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a thriving 11–16 mixed secondary school in Taunton. The successful Science Teacher will be expected to teach General Science across KS3 & KS4, with the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on experience. This is a full-time, permanent position starting April 2026. The Science department is well-resourced, collaborative, and led by an approachable and supportive Head of Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher to join a school that values high standards of teaching, strong behaviour for learning, and professional development. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers, ECTs, and overseas-trained teachers with a recognised teaching qualification. School Information This popular and oversubscribed secondary school has a strong reputation within the local community for academic achievement and student behaviour. The school has approximately 1,000 students on roll and benefits from modern science laboratories and excellent teaching facilities. The school promotes a supportive staff culture with clear leadership and high expectations. We have worked with the school previously and placed staff who have consistently highlighted the positive environment, strong departmental support, and engaged students.
