\n With a reputation for maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and programme delivery, the company continues to expand its project portfolio across the region. Their management teams are known for running organised sites with strong communication and practical support on the ground.\n

\n They are currently delivering a major hospitality development in Co Clare and are looking to strengthen the site management team with an experienced Health & Safety Officer.\n

The Role: Health & Safety Officer\n
\n
\n This is a full-time site-based Health & Safety Officer role on a large scale construction project in Co Clare.\n
\n
\n You will work closely with the Site Manager and Contracts Manager to maintain a strong safety culture across all stages of the build, from structural works through to fit out and finishing. The role will involve daily site inspections, subcontractor coordination, toolbox talks, audits, and ensuring all site activities are carried out in line with current health & safety legislation.\n
\n
\n This is a busy live construction environment with multiple subcontractors on site daily, requiring a proactive Health & Safety Officer who can communicate effectively and maintain high safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.\n

Must Have Requirements\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety Officer role within construction
    • \n
  • Experience with a main contractor in Ireland is required
    • \n
  • Proven experience required on large construction or building projects
    • \n
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification required
    • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish health & safety regulations and site compliance
    • \n
\n
Preferred Experience\n

  • Hospitality, commercial, or large scale building project experience preferred
    • \n
  • Experience carrying out audits, inspections, and accident investigations beneficial
    • \n
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
    • \n
\n
Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits
    • \n
  • Maintain site health & safety documentation and records
    • \n
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to site teams
    • \n
  • Ensure subcontractors are working in line with project safety procedures
    • \n
  • Assist with accident investigations and reporting where required
    • \n
  • Monitor compliance with Irish health & safety legislation
    • \n
  • Work closely with site management to maintain safe working practices
    • \n
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all areas of the project
    • \n

About You\n
\n
\n You are a practical and organised Health & Safety Officer with experience working on live construction sites for a main contractor.\n
\n
\n You are confident carrying out inspections, communicating with subcontractors, and ensuring standards are maintained across busy site environments. You understand the importance of maintaining compliance while also building positive relationships with site teams to improve overall safety performance.\n
\n
\n You are proactive, detail focused, and capable of managing safety procedures within a fast-moving construction project.\n
