KS2 Teacher – Full Time

Location: Chester-le-Street, County Durham
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Chester-le-Street to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who is keen to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development at the start of the academic year.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, fostering an engaging, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment, and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports all learners
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress effectively
  • Manage classroom behaviour to promote positive learning outcomes
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers
  • Contribute to whole-school activities, staff meetings and ongoing professional development

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
