Shape the future.The UK's Data Centre sector is expanding rapidly, and leading Building Services Design Consultancies are looking for experienced Associate Mechanical Engineers to help drive that growth.At Eligo Recruitment, we partner with consultancies delivering some of the UK's most complex mission critical developments. We're looking for leaders who combine outstanding technical knowledge with commercial awareness, team leadership and a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes.If you're ready to influence projects, develop teams and play a key role in growing a successful engineering business, we'd love to hear from you.The OpportunityAs an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you'll provide leadership across multiple Data Centre projects while helping shape the future direction of the mechanical engineering team.You'll work closely with Directors and senior stakeholders, balancing technical oversight with client management, business development and team growth.This is an opportunity to move beyond project delivery and become a trusted adviser to clients while helping develop both people and the business.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of multiple Data Centre projects.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Support business development, bids and fee proposals.
  • Oversee project performance, programme and profitability.
  • Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor and develop Senior, Principal and Graduate Engineers.
  • Review and approve engineering designs and specifications.
  • Support recruitment, resource planning and succession planning.
  • Promote innovation, quality and best practice throughout the business.
  • Represent the consultancy at client meetings, industry events and technical presentations.
About YouYou'll have a proven background within a Building Services Design Consultancy and extensive experience delivering Data Centre or Mission Critical projects.You'll be recognised for your ability to lead teams, develop trusted client relationships and consistently deliver technically outstanding engineering solutions.Experience should include:
  • Mechanical Building Services Design
  • Data Centre or Mission Critical projects
  • Team leadership
  • Client relationship management
  • Business development
  • Commercial awareness
  • Resource planning
  • Technical design reviews
