We have a fantastic opportunity forDomesticPropertyLoss Adjustersin West Birmingham/Walsall.

As a Domestic Loss Adjuster,you'llmanage a caseload of domestic property damage claims acrossLondon/Southeast, from visiting customers at their homes, co-ordinating visits from contractors, to finally settling each claim.

Imagine yourself stepping into people's lives during some of their most unsettling moments: a burst pipe that flooded the kitchen, a fire that scorched the living room, trees fallen through the roof from storm damage.You'llbe there, the calming presence amidst the chaos, then returning to your desk at Sedgwick surrounded by your colleagues, or to your laptop at home, to compile a comprehensive report.

Along with visits to claimants’ properties, we are happy for your base to be a balance of our office and your home.

This is perfect for detail-oriented problem-solvers, with a passion for helping people, who crave variety and want to build a rewarding career.

The skills you will have when you apply:

• A fullUK Driving Licence: It is essential you can travel by car

• Insurance knowledge:Have an understanding ofhow a home insurance policyoperatesand the basic make up of a domestic property.

• Excellent communication skills:You'llspeak with and write topolicyholders, insurers, contractors, and more.You’llexplain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all.

• Problem-solving abilities: You should be able toidentifyand solve problems efficiently

• Time management: Asyou’llbe planning your own week you must effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. You willbe requiredto handle multiple claims simultaneously.

What is helpful, but not vital, in your application:

• Technology:Use of Apple software such as iPads, or other tablets

The skills that will be developed once working:

• Comprehensive Training:You'llreceive all the Sedgwick-specific training needed to excel in your role.

• Professional Development:We are committed to helping you work towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification.
