Job description
Behaviour Mentor - Inclusive Good Secondary School - Lewisham, London Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale Behaviour Mentor A supportive and inclusive Good secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour and helping students overcome barriers to learning. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will build positive relationships, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help students develop strategies to manage their behaviour effectively. You will collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral leaders and external agencies to ensure that students receive consistent and effective support. Your role will also involve monitoring student progress, supporting behaviour interventions and contributing to a calm and purposeful learning environment. The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and committed to making a positive difference in students’ lives. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport are essential. School Information This is a 11 to 18 well-established, Good Ofsted Rated School in Lewisham with a strong commitment to inclusion, student wellbeing and high expectations. The school serves a diverse community and prides itself on its supportive and nurturing environment. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their behaviour and learning, supported by a strong pastoral system.
