Job description
Mathematics Teacher Independent School in Oxford Full-time/Permanent Start Date: September 2026 We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving independent school in Oxford this September. This is a school where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. There is a strong sense of community, excellent behaviour, and a shared commitment to doing the best for every pupil. Staff are supported, trusted, and given the space to teach well. The Mathematics department is well-resourced, collaborative, and ambitious for its students. Whether you are early in your career or an experienced teacher, you will be joining a team that values clear teaching, strong relationships, and a genuine love of the subject. The role will involve: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5) Contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking department Encouraging curiosity, confidence, and resilience in students Taking part in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular opportunities We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about Mathematics and enjoys sharing that with young people Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues Has high expectations and a calm, consistent classroom presence Is keen to contribute to a school community beyond the classroom In return, the school offers a welcoming environment, engaged pupils, and a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and professional development.
