Varang Healthcare is looking for an experienced registered manager providing care in the Local Community to Elderly and Vulnerable people. A successful candidate is responsible to manage and grow an effective and efficient home care service within the geographic region, through a team of suitable, qualified, and supported staff, to the economic benefit of our client. Responsibilities * CQC Registered Manager for the branch. * Ensure the provision of high-quality care services to vulnerable people living in their own home. * Manage and deploy teams of Care Workers who provide care and support to vulnerable adults. * Ensure consistent application of the company’s policies, procedures, and approved practice and promote the aims of our client. * Participate in and contribute to the strategic management of our client. * Ensure all statutory obligations are fully met. * Meet and exceed all financial/growth targets. * Supervision and appraisal policy is implemented for all staff, including supervision and appraisal. * Efficient scheduling enabling Care Staff to spend allocated care time with each service user. * Ensure Care Staff follow the agreed care and service user plans, respect visit lengths, and work to meet or exceed the CQC Fundamental Standards. * Keep appropriate records within the Service User’s home and maintain timesheets signed by the service user and Care Worker (where applicable). * Recruit sufficient staff to meet the needs of service users. * Plan marketing activity and spend in liaison with office staff and make recommendations to the Operations Director. * Adhere to the Company recruitment procedure. * Ensure all care staff undergo required training to meet the CQC Fundamental Standards and complete the Care Certificate prior to probation sign-off. * Identify development and training needs and source/train accordingly; participate in delivering training. * Keep records relating to recruitment, training, and supervision. * Maintain records of sickness, holiday, and other absence for all staff. * Ensure initial assessments for service users, including care needs assessments and health and safety risk assessments, are carried out as required under the CQC Fundamental Standards. * Maintain assessment records and implement actions to mitigate risk. * Ensure Health and Safety policies are applied to provide a safe working environment. * Consult with service users and their informal carers during care planning and throughout service provision. * Carry out and record service user reviews in line with CQC Fundamental Standards and Local Authority requirements. * Manage complaints, compliments, and comments, including remedial action and record keeping. * Maintain confidentiality by all staff. * Meet the requirements of the Data Protection Act regarding service user and Care Worker records. * Ensure accurate and timely payroll and invoicing; ensure payments due against invoices are received promptly; recover monies due from Care Workers as needed. * Build and maintain harmonious relationships with Local Authority representatives and participate in Local Authority meetings as appropriate. * Manage the office budget and operate as a profit centre. * Be aware of Key Performance Indicators and report statistics daily/weekly/periodically to the Operations Director. * Ensure effective and timely communication within the office, with field staff, users, purchasers, and other stakeholders. * Apply equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices in management and delivery of the service. * Provide on-call and care services where required to ensure safe and efficient operation. * Perform other duties as reasonably delegated by the Operations Director. Benefits and terms The role of Registered Manager offers £40,000 - £45,000 with an excellent benefits and achievable bonus package. Salary range is dependent on candidate experience.
