Job description
School Receptionist - Good Ofsted Secondary School - Wakefield Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Receptionist A Good Ofsted secondary school in Wakefield is seeking a professional and welcoming School Receptionist to join their front office team. This is a key role within the school, acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors and external agencies while helping to ensure the smooth running of daily school operations. The successful candidate will manage the reception area efficiently and professionally, greeting visitors, answering calls and responding to enquiries in a positive and helpful manner. You will also support general administrative tasks, maintain visitor records and assist with safeguarding and attendance procedures where required. The role requires someone who can remain calm and organised in a busy environment while managing multiple responsibilities effectively. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and professionalism are essential, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and families. You will work closely with the wider administration team and support senior staff where required, contributing positively to the smooth operation of the school. The school is looking for someone reliable, proactive and committed to providing excellent support and customer service.
