Job Summary:


Support Workers are central to Praxis Care’s mission of providing quality care to individuals. Each Support Worker is part of a dedicated team that delivers high-quality, reliable support services.

About The Role

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with domestic, social, and personal care skills.
  • Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programs.
  • Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving conflicts or challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques and language.
  • Ensure that medication is stored and administered according to Praxis Care’s Medication Policy, where necessary.
  • Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, accurately recording and logging important information per reporting guidelines.
  • Stay informed about all policies and procedures within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring participation in all related training.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
  • Model the company values, behaviors, and competencies at all times.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities and duties as required.
  • Work necessary hours to meet the needs of the service.

The above-mentioned duties are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as necessary. It should be noted that stated duties or locations associated with the post may change to meet the future needs of the organisation.

This is a part time vacancy 32hrs per week

Salary is £13.45 per hour with a sleep over rate of £45 per night

Required Criteria

  • Full valid driving license and access to own vehicle
  • Right to Work in the UK

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working within the health and social care field.

Skills Needed

Attention to detail, Communication, Teamwork, Ability to support clients with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
