As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support vulnerable students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Help improve attendance, engagement, emotional regulation, and academic attainment
• Build strong professional relationships with pupils who may be hard to reach or distrustful of authority
• Support young people through structured interventions focused on behaviour, wellbeing, and aspiration
• Encourage participation in cooking, sport, creative arts, and enrichment activities that build confidence and life skills
• Help students develop healthier coping strategies, resilience, and positive routines
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, safeguarding leads, therapists, and external agencies
• Observe and learn behaviour management, de-escalation, restorative practice, and safeguarding strategies used within specialist education settings
