Job description
As a Junior Digital Project Manager, you will support the delivery of digital projects from concept through to completion, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly, stays on track, and meets client expectations.

You'll work closely with senior team members, developers, and stakeholders to coordinate tasks, track progress, and identify potential risks or blockers early. This is a hands-on role where you'll build your experience in managing projects while contributing to structured, efficient delivery.

You'll play an important role in keeping projects organised, maintaining clear communication, and helping to bring clarity to fast-paced and sometimes complex environments.

What You'll Get from New Icon

At New Icon, we don't just expect delivery, we invest in developing people who can grow into senior, strategic roles.

  • Hands-on Experience Across Real Projects
You'll work on live client projects from day one, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of digital delivery.
  • Mentorship & Support
You'll work closely with an experienced delivery team and Leadership, giving you direct access to guidance, feedback, and real-world learning.
  • Clear Development Pathway
We'll support your progression from Junior Project Manager through to more senior roles, helping you build the confidence and capability to take on greater ownership over time.
  • Exposure to Modern Delivery Practices
You'll gain experience in Agile delivery, structured governance, and working within a growing AI-enabled Systems Integrator, not just a traditional agency model.
  • Involvement in Strategic Work
You'll get visibility into how projects connect to wider business outcomes, giving you a stronger commercial and strategic understanding early in your career.
  • A Culture of Accountability & Growth
We value ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement, you'll be encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge thinking, and help shape how we deliver.

About You

You have a genuine interest in digital and technology, and you're keen to build your career in project management. You're organised, proactive, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.

You're developing your ability to understand how digital products are built, and can translate technical information into clear, simple updates for wider stakeholders.

Favourable Qualifications
  • PRINCE2 Foundation (or working towards)
  • Certified Scrum Master (or interest in Agile methodologies)

Skills for Success
  • Proactive and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Support the delivery of software projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality are maintained
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project plans, including timelines, tasks, and resource tracking
  • Work with project teams to ensure requirements are understood and progress is clearly tracked
  • Help identify risks and issues, escalating where needed and supporting mitigation actions
  • Support coordination of internal teams and third-party partners
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on project progress
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of key project documentation, including:
    • Statements of Work
    • Project requirements
    • MoSCoW prioritisation
    • RAID logs
    • RACI matrices
  • Support project governance, including ensuring documentation is up to date and sign-offs are tracked
  • Assist with resource coordination, scheduling, and prioritisation
  • Support finance processes, including tracking time and ensuring alignment with billing
  • Contribute to internal projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Help facilitate project reviews and retrospectives to identify improvement

Mentorship and Buddy Programs - We pair all new starters with a New Icon buddy to help them settle into their surroundings.

Hackathon, Innovation and Vision Days - Non-project days every quarter that enable us to stay creative and align on the company's vision and strategy.
